LOCAL MSP DELIGHTED AT £13 MILLION BOOST TO FIFE ENERGY PARK

Central Fife MSP Tricia Marwick has today expressed her delight that the Scottish Government is to invest £13 million of new funding at Fife Energy Park.

Enterprise Minister Jim Mather MSP announced the multi-million pound investment, which is expected to safeguard and create hundreds of local jobs.

Mrs Marwick, who has championed Fife Energy Park for many years, has welcomed the Scottish Government’s commitment to the site.

Mrs Marwick said: “I am absolutely delighted that Fife Energy Park is set to receive £13 million of new funding from the SNP Government. I am certain this funding will provide a timely boost for the local economy and has the potential to bring hundreds of jobs to the local area.

“As constituency MSP, I have championed Fife Energy Park for many years to have it recognised as a national priority and as a centre for renewable energy. This additional investment shows the Scottish Government shares my views and also that they recognise Fife Energy Park is an asset for the whole of Scotland.

“Fife Energy Park is the jewel in the crown of Levenmouth. It is vital for the regeneration of the local area and this decision by the SNP Government to invest millions of pounds of new funding at the site shows our commitment to it.”
