SNP MSP COMMENTS ON VALE OF LEVEN ANNOUNCEMENT
Commenting on today's announcement that there will be no criminal proceedings in relation to the outbreak of C Difficile at the Vale of Leven Hospital, West of Scotland SNP MSP Gil Paterson said:
"Now that the criminal investigations have been exhausted it is important that the inquiry take place unhindered.
"This will give the families affected the reassurances they need to help bring closure for their loss.
"The inquiry will allow for lessons to be learned from Vale of Leven across the NHS and help with the process of improving infection control in all our hospitals."
