SNP AHEAD IN YOUGOV POLL FOR EUROPE AND WESTMINSTER.

SNP AHEAD IN YOUGOV POLL FOR EUROPE AND WESTMINSTER.

VOTE TO PROTECT JOBS WITH A STRONG VOICE IN EUROPE.

SNP WILL TAKE SCOTLAND’S MESSAGE TO WESTMINSTER AND BRUSSELS.

A YouGov opinion poll published today in the Daily Telegraph today shows
only a vote for the SNP this Thursday will ensure Scotland’s voice is
heard as figures show the European elections are a straight two-horse race
between the SNP and Labour – with the SNP ahead in both European and
Westminster voting intentions.

The poll – which has a Scottish sample of 547 people – puts the SNP on 29%
to 24% for Labour, with the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats on 13%.
Commenting on the figures released as the SNP kicks off the final four
days of campaigning across the country SNP MSP and Minister for Parliament
Bruce Crawford said;

“These results are a very positive indication for the SNP with a lead in
both European and Westminster voting intentions as we head into the last
four days of campaigning for the European elections.

“We are taking nothing for granted, and are working extremely hard to earn
the trust of the people of Scotland on Thursday. A vote for the SNP is
the only way to ensure Scotland’s voice is heard in Europe and
Westminster.

“It is only the SNP that can give Scotland a strong voice in Europe and
take the message from Scotland to Downing Street that it’s time for a
General Election.

“With four days to go SNP candidates will be campaigning the length and
breadth of the country to win public trust and show their commitment to
protect Scotland’s jobs and support our communities.

“The SNP’s positive campaign has shown that we will work to invest our EU
resources in Scotland’s skills and training, to protect jobs in
traditional industries and to put Scotland’s new industries like
renewables at the heart of Europe’s economic future.

"A vote for the SNP on June 4th will also send a clear message to
Westminster: the people of Scotland want a Government which puts jobs and
communities at the top of its agenda - not one which slashes Scottish
investment in the teeth of a recession.

“These results make it clear – it is only a vote for the SNP on Thursday
that can give Scotland a strong voice in Europe and send a message to
Downing Street that it’s time for a General Election.”
