DON’T JUST ELECT A POLITICIAN, ELECT A LOCAL CHAMPION

DON’T JUST ELECT A POLITICIAN, ELECT A LOCAL CHAMPION

ONLY LOCAL CHAMPIONS FROM THE SNP CAN PROTECT SCOTTISH SERVICES

SNP Depute Leader Nicola Sturgeon will today highlight the SNP’s pledges
of jobs and growth, to scrap trident, to protect local services, to
deliver a higher pension for our elderly and to guarantee the
concessionary bus travel scheme as they board a bus in Glasgow East.

The SNP are now the only party in a position to protect Scotland from
Labour, Tory and Lib Dem attacks on Scotland’s services.

At the event at the Fort shopping centre where Ms Sturgeon and Mr Mason
will unveil a poster with the SNP's priorities Ms Sturgeon will say;

“For voters in Scotland this election is about who will champion and
protect Scotland’s interests.

“The last 5 days of this campaign is not about the air offensive on our
TV screens but about the ground campaign in constituencies across the
country.

“The SNP has activists on the ground across the country who will be taking
our message, that it is local champions from the SNP in Westminster who
can protect Scotland from the London cuts,to doorsteps across the
country.”

SNP candidate for Glasgow East John Mason said:

“At the heart of our plans for the next Parliament are boosting jobs and
growth, arguing for an end to trident, fighting against cuts to protect
local services and increasing the pension in line with earnings to give a
£100 million boost to our elderly.

“And the SNP is guaranteeing the concessionary bus pass.

“At this election the only way for voters in Glasgow East to make a
difference in Westminster with a vote for a local champion.”
