SNP REPRESENTATIVES MEET WITH UK CIVIL SERVICE

SNP REPRESENTATIVES MEET WITH UK CIVIL SERVICE

SNP Westminster Leader Angus Robertson MP and Chief Whip Stewart Hosie MP
today (Sunday) held their first face-to-face meeting with the UK Civil
Service in London as talks continue between parties seeking to form the
next UK Government.

Commenting after the meeting, Mr Robertson said:

“It is becoming increasingly clear that a progressive alternative to a
Conservative-led government exists at Westminster.

“The SNP stand ready to work with all parties for democratic change
including proportional representation and a functioning UK parliament
which serves the people.

“The people of Scotland will be deeply anxious that instead of real change
and reform, Nick Clegg may simply usher in a Tory government rejected by
over 80% of the Scottish people.

“Our meeting today was constructive and informative and we will maintain
this approach in any future meetings and negotiations.”
