TORIES SAY LABOUR and LIBDEM VOTES GIVE THEM MANDATE TO RULE SCOTLAND

ONLY MORE SNP MPs CAN CHAMPION & DEFEND SCOTLAND

Responding to comments made by the Tories' election co-ordinator David McLetchie on the Scottish Politics Show today where he clearly indicated that Labour and LibDem votes in Scotland would be taken as a mandate to govern Scotland if an incoming London Tory government only had 1 or no seats in Scotland the SNP's Westminster leader Angus Robertson said only the SNP stood for defending Scotland's interests.

Commenting Mr Robertson said:

“For David McLetchie to effectively say that the way Scotland votes in the general election doesn’t matter shows the Tories up in their old anti-Scottish colours.

"What David Cameron intends to do is count every vote for Labour and the LibDems in the Tories’ pro-Union tally, which would be disastrous for Scotland.

"That is exactly why it is vital that Scotland returns SNP MPs to champion Scotland and defend our interests.”
