DOWNING STREET SPIN DOCTOR ‘SLUR’ SCANDAL.
Commenting on the mounting row over ‘slur’ e-mails apparently sent by one of Gordon Brown’s closest advisors, the SNP Shadow Scotland Office spokesperson, Angus MacNeil MP, commented:
“As households and high streets struggle to cope with the recession it seems Downing Street is more concerned with slurs and spin.
“For one of Gordon Brown’s closest advisors to orchestrate a smear campaign, described by those who have seen these e-mails as obscene, is truly unacceptable.”
