WELSH LABOUR LET’S CAT OUT OF BAG ON LONDON LABOUR CUTS.

WELSH LABOUR LET’S CAT OUT OF BAG ON LONDON LABOUR CUTS.

JIM MURPHY ACTING AS SECRETARY OF STATE AGAINST SCOTLAND.

Commenting on remarks made by the Labour First Minister of Wales – Rhodri Morgan – in which he has admitted that today’s Labour budget will lead to cuts in Wales SNP MSP Michael Matheson said:

“Rhodri Morgan has let the cat out of the bag for Labour in Scotland. Labour can no longer try and pull the wool over people’s eyes and pretend that today’s budgets won’t mean swinging cuts for Scotland next year.

“With Labour in Wales admitting that today’s budget equals cuts Jim Murphy is making himself look more and more like the Secretary of State AGAINST Scotland as he tries to spin his way out of this £500 million cut to Scotland’s public services.

"Labour Ministers in the Welsh government are being honest and frank about the impact of these cuts to their budget. Scottish Labour should learn from their example and speak out.

"For the UK Government to chop £500 million off the Scottish budget at the time when we are and should continue to invest in recovering from Labour's recession is utterly unacceptable and will be remembered by voters across the nation."
