SNP PETE WISHART MP COMMENTS ON BOB QUICK RESIGNATION.

SNP PETE WISHART MP COMMENTS ON BOB QUICK RESIGNATION.

Commenting following the resignation of Assistant Commissioner Bob Quick - whose security blunder caused an anti-terror operation to be brought forward - SNP Home Affairs spokesperson, Pete Wishart MP, said: “Bob Quick’s blunder could have compromised a major police operation, and his resignation was inevitable.

It is to his credit that he resigned honourably and promptly.
“It has not been a good week for the Metropolitan Police, and the force need to get back on track.

“The appointment of John Yates as Mr Quick’s successor is a welcome move. Assistant Commissioner Yates has a strong reputation from his work on the cash for honours scandal, and I am certain he will hit the ground running in this crucial anti-terror role.”
