‘MACAVITY’ CHALLENGED ON DOWNING STREET DIRTY POLITICS.

‘MACAVITY’ CHALLENGED ON DOWNING STREET DIRTY POLITICS.

Commenting on the ongoing row over the Downing Street ‘smear’ e-mails sent by one of Gordon Brown’s closest advisors, the SNP Shadow Scotland Office spokesperson, Angus MacNeil MP, commented:

“Gordon Brown should not only apologise over the smear e-mails, he must also explain what he knew about them and when.

“How long will Gordon Brown do a Macavity on this? Where is his moral compass for the cameras now? This matter is far too serious for the PM to hide.

“Damian McBride was one of the Prime Minister’s closest advisors, and questions over these smears must be answered. “Gordon Brown must apologise and put an end to Downing Street’s dirty politics.”
