SNP COMMENT ON BROWN CONFIDENCE CRISIS VOTE

SNP COMMENT ON BROWN CONFIDENCE CRISIS VOTE

SNP COMMENT ON BROWN CONFIDENCE CRISIS VOTE

Commenting on demands by former Labour Cabinet Ministers for a secret ballot on Gordon Brown’s failing leadership, SNP Westminster leader Angus Robertson MP called on the Prime Minister to name the day of the General Election so the whole country could have their say.

Mr Robertson said:

“This is a kamikaze car crash showing Labour is totally divided and tearing itself apart. Scotland needs a strong voice which only the SNP offers by putting jobs, the economy and families first while Labour fight themselves and settle scores. Calls for a secret confidence vote are a self-serving distraction – what people really want is a General Election so everyone can have their say on Labour’s record. That is the only ballot that matters.”
