Labour splits on the Scottish budget have been revealed as the divisions continue over Iain Gray's plan for a motion of no confidence in the Government.
Lord Foulkes is quoted on Holyrood.com as urging the Labour party to back a motion of no confidence while senior Labour sources claim it is "self-indulgent".
SNP MSP Kenneth Gibson said;
"It looks like frivolous Lord Foulkes is the one pulling Iain Gray's strings.
"Iain Gray faced backbench revolt over his budget strategy and is now facing splits over his attempt to call a motion of no confidence.
"Labour's vote jeopardises £1.8 billion of investment and 35,000 jobs.
"It seems some in the Labour party may be beginning to realise how damaging that decision could be."
