SCOTTISH NHS HEALTH INVESTMENT BOOST WELCOMED.

SCOTTISH NHS HEALTH INVESTMENT BOOST WELCOMED.

GLASGOW MSP WELCOMES £9 MILLION CENTRE.

SNP MSP Bob Doris today welcomed the announcement by Cabinet Secretary Nicola Sturgeon of £82 million of investment in NHS infrastructure across the country.

The announcement was made in Possil, Glasgow where the Health Secretary announced a £9 million replacement health centre – campaigned for by local GPs supported by Bob Doris.

Speaking from Possil Bob Doris said;

“I welcome today’s announcement of investment in the NHS across the country.

“This money will benefit people in communities across Scotland providing new health centres, new dental facilities and support for community pharmacists.

“The SNP Government is investing in our health service and working hard to deliver the best possible health care in our communities.

"This comes in contrast to the massive NHS cuts that would have been imposed under a Labour administration and the millions being cut from health budgets in England.

“I am particularly delighted that the Scottish Government has listened to the powerful case put forward by the Health Board and local GP's for the new facility on Possil to get the go ahead.

“This new purpose built centre will integrate many vital services and improve the quality of treatment for the people of Possil and surrounding areas.

“We know the serious nature of the health and social problems which impact on local communities but today is a real good news story.”
