MORE POLICE MAKES SCOTLAND SAFER.
The latest official statistics show the SNP is making Scotland safer with a record number of police officers on Scotland’s streets.
There are more police than ever before working in Scotland with an increase of 441 police since the 2007 election and an increase of 149 on the record high figure set in the previous quarter.
SNP MSP Nigel Don, a member of the Scottish Parliament’s Justice Committee said;
“Less than two years into Government the SNP is living up to our commitment to make Scotland safer.
“With 441 more police in action by the end of 2008 we are making real progress in boosting police numbers across Scotland.
“In contrast to the doom and gloom coming from Labour the SNP is making Scotland’s streets safer.
“In my own area of Grampian the SNP’s election has seen 109 more bobbies on the beat.
“This just shows the difference an SNP government can make. Where south of the border there are reports of police numbers being cut, in Scotland we are not just keeping numbers up we are seeing more officers on our streets.
