“I’M A NAT” – CONNERY, COSMO and COMPSTON SAY VOTE SNP ON MAY 6th
CELEBRITIES JOIN VOTERS, ACTIVISTS AND POLITICIANS TO BACK THE SNP
The SNP today issued a new online campaign video – “I’M A NAT” in which
voters, activists and politicians set out why they back the SNP on May
6th.
The short film features the voice of Sir Sean Connery urging voters “On
May 6th, don’t just vote for a politician – elect a local champion.”
Sir Sean is joined by Braveheart actor James Cosmo – recorded in a break
from filming in London - setting out why he is a Nat:
“I’m a Nat, and I say don’t waste £100 billion on new nuclear weapons”
Martin Compston, star of Sweet Sixteen and Monarch of the Glen, currently
promoting his new film, joins the campaign saying: “I’m a nat because I
believe in Independence”.
Supporting the party’s campaign for local champions and a strong SNP voice
in a balanced parliament, the video which also features Alex Salmond and
Nicola Sturgeon is available on the party’s youtube channel

Launching the video, SNP leader Alex Salmond said:
“Across Scotland voters at this election have the chance to stand up and
say “I’m a Nat”.
“Whether voting for a local champion at Westminster, electing more Nats to
ensure there are less cuts to Scotland’s budget or supporting a better
future for Scotland with Independence voters across Scotland are turning
to the SNP as the only alternative to the three Westminster parties at
this election.
“Sir Sean Connery, James Cosmo and Martin Compston are strong voices for
Scotland at home and overseas. SNP MPs at this election will be strong
voices in Westminster for Scotland’s communities and Scotland’s interests.
“The other parties have tried to make Scotland irrelevant at this
election, but as more people stand up and say “I’m a Nat” the more
Scotland’s voice will be heard.”
