WANT TO SCRAP TRIDENT? THEN DON’T VOTE LIBDEM SAYS NICK CLEGG
WANT TO SCRAP TRIDENT? THEN DON’T VOTE LIBDEM SAYS NICK CLEGG
A LIBDEM VOTE IS A VOTE FOR BILLIONS WASTED ON WMD & NOT PUBLIC SERVICES
Commenting on Nick Clegg’s remarks on the Andrew Marr Show today where he said people who wanted to scrap Trident and stop the waste of billions on w weapons of mass destruction should NOT vote LibDem, the SNP’s Westminster leader and defence spokesperson Angus Robertson said:
“Nick Clegg has had to let the cat out of the bag after giving the impression he was opposes to Trident in the debates. You can’t get any more emphatic than having to tell people not to vote for you.
"On debate after debate they have been saying they would save money by scrapping nuclear weapons. Now we see how dishonest they have been. They are just like the other London machine politicians.
"It is the SNP in Scotland which is fully committed to scrapping Trident and is opposed to a replacement. The money would be better spent on front line services instead of weapons of mass destruction.
"That option in Scotland can only be seriously met by voting for the SNP in this election. Only the SNP is championing a Scotland free from weapons of mass destruction."
