LIBDEMS WANT TO KEEP TRIDENT LONGER

LIBDEMS WANT TO KEEP TRIDENT LONGER

ALL THREE LONDON PARTIES THE SAME ON WASTING MONEY ON WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

Commenting on the remarks by LibDem Ed Davey on Channel 4 News where he said that the LibDems were looking at extending the life of Trident the SNP's Westminster leader Angus Robertson said:

"The LibDems have been taking voters for fools and Ed Davey has let the cat out of the bag. On debate after debate they have been saying they would save money by scrapping nuclear weapons. Now we see how dishonest they have been. They are just like the other London machine politicians.

"It is the SNP in Scotland which is fully committed to scrapping Trident and is opposed to a replacement. The money would be better spent on front line services instead of weapons of mass destruction.

"That option in Scotland can only be seriously met by voting for the SNP in this election. Only the SNP is championing a Scotland free from weapons of mass destruction."
