RENNIE QUITS AFTER ONLY SIX WEEKS DEFENDING TORY POLICIES

RENNIE QUITS AFTER ONLY SIX WEEKS DEFENDING TORY POLICIES

Commenting on news that former Liberal Democrat MP for Dunfermline and
West Fife, Willie Rennie, has quit his role as Scotland Office special
adviser after just six weeks, SNP MP Angus MacNeil said:

“Six weeks of defending Tory policies which hit the poorest in
Scotland was obviously six weeks too many for Willie Rennie, and his
departure reflects the Lib Dems' crashing support in the polls.

“Voters in Scotland feel sorely let down by the Liberal Democrats for
selling out to the Tories, which is why many former Lib Dem supporters
will vote SNP next year for fair policies and a strong economy.”
