TAVISH'S AMNESIA ON ST ANDREW'S DAY

TAVISH'S AMNESIA ON ST ANDREW'S DAY

Commenting on Tavish Scott’s question at today's First Minister's Questions on the subject of St Andrew's day SNP MSP Alasdair Allan said:

“Tavish seems to be suffering from selective amnesia, as he was a minister in the previous Lib Dem/Labour administration that initiated the St Andrew’s celebrations which used thousands of Saltire flags, and spent more than the SNP Government. And TEN of his MSPs were supporters of Dennis Canavan's bill to make St Andrew’s Day a Bank Holiday.

"Instead of this nonsense from the LibDems, we should all agree that promoting St Andrew’s Day is of huge economic as well as cultural benefit to Scotland."
