LABOUR’S NEW LOW IN NEGATIVITY AS BAILLIE PLAYS POLITICS ON C.DIFF

LABOUR’S NEW LOW IN NEGATIVITY AS BAILLIE PLAYS POLITICS ON C.DIFF
BAILLIE SHOULD APOLOGISE FOR DISGUSTING ATTACK OR GRAY SHOULD SACK HER
Commenting on remarks made by Labour’s health spokesperson, Jackie Baillie, before the Health Secretary’s statement on C.diff death in Dundee, SNP MSP Michael Matheson - a member of the Scottish Parliament's Health Committee - said the MSP should apologise for her unfounded allegations or her party leader Iain Gray should sack her.
Commenting Mr Matheson said:
“This is a new low in Labour’s negativity, and I am quite frankly shocked at how disgusting Labour’s level of attacks have sunk to.
“It reflects the level of campaigning labour have lowered themselves to in Glasgow North East.
“No-one has been so immature as to personally blame Labour Ministers at Westminster for C.diff deaths in England – just as no-one was so tasteless as to launch such attacks on Ministers in the previous Labour/LibDem coalition.
“Jackie Baillie should apologise. If she will not Iain Gray should sack her for playing politics over this serious issue.”
