TORY TURMOIL GROWS FOR GOLDIE

TORY TURMOIL GROWS FOR GOLDIE

ONLY SNP OFFER A STRONG SCOTTISH VOICE

Internal turmoil in the Tories is growing as senior Conservatives in
London suggest abandoning the party in Scotland and more questions are
raised over the leadership of Annabel Goldie and David Mundell.

The Sunday Herald reports business leaders have warned Mr Cameron over
Annabel Goldie’s leadership in Scotland. Last month it was reported David
Mundell’s role as Shadow Scottish Secretary was under threat.

Commenting on the Tory turmoil SNP MSP Bill Kidd said:

“It seems there is little unity left in the Conservative and Unionist party.

"With London Tories proposing abandoning the Scottish Conservatives to
their own devices and threats to the position of their only Scottish MP it
is clear that the Tories offer nothing to Scotland.

“The Tories have been in the wilderness in Scotland for many years and
Tory turmoil over their failure to win support in Scotland has been
growing for some time. Now it seems there is a schism between David
Cameron, David Mundell and Annabel Goldie.

“As the Tories fight amongst themselves and as the phoney war between
Labour and Tory continues only the SNP offer a strong voice for Scotland
at Westminster.”
