CAMERON GAFFE BETRAYS TORY IGNORANCE OF SCOTLAND
CAMERON GAFFE BETRAYS TORY IGNORANCE OF SCOTLAND
THREAT TO MAKE SCOTS PAY TWICE FOR FREE PERSONAL CARE
Responding to comments by Tory leader David Cameron, who today used a visit to Scotland to suggest people should be asked to pay a tax to cover the costs of free personal care for the elderly, an SNP spokesperson said:
"Thanks to the SNP, Scots already have fully funded free personal care, so it would be totally unfair for people in Scotland to be subject to a new tax to fund a policy in England that we are already paying for here.
"This is just another blunder betraying the Tories' ignorance of Scotland - just this week Liam Fox didn't know he was in Edinburgh, not Aberdeen!"
