SALMOND - QUESTIONS MURPHY MUST ANSWER
WHO KNEW WHAT AND WHEN ABOUT DISGRACED CANDIDATE'S TWITTER POSTS?
SNP leader and First Minister Alex Salmond today (Friday) called on
Scottish Secretary Jim Murphy to make clear what he and other senior
Labour figures knew about their disgraced candidate Stuart MacLennan's
posts on Twitter.
Mr Salmond said:
"Jim Murphy has said that neither he nor anyone in Labour had any idea
about these comments - but within minutes of that denial it was being
reported that Mr Murphy has been an online follower of Stuart MacLennan.
"Jim Murphy has boasted that Labour's candidates were the 'Facebook
generation', but that boast has come back to haunt them, and their
Scottish campaign is in meltdown on launch day."
