LABOUR’S TWO FACES EXPOSED

LABOUR’S TWO FACES EXPOSED

CANDIDATES CONNING THE PUBLIC OVER KNIFE CRIME PLEDGE

The SNP today highlighted Labour’s two faces on knife crime – with Labour
candidates committed to a UK manifesto that rejects their MSPs' policies.
said:

“Labour are utterly two faced in this election. Their candidates are
making promises they know they can’t deliver on a manifesto that doesn’t
apply in this election.

“When it comes to knife crime, Labour’s candidates are committed to a UK
manifesto in this election that makes no pledges and a Scottish manifesto
that is utterly meaningless.

“It is utterly hypocritical for Jim Murphy and all of Labour’s candidates
to stand in Scotland on policies they cannot and will do anything about.

"Under the SNP, sentences for knife crime have increased by two thirds in
Scotland, while they remain far shorter under Labour in England with fewer
going to jail.

"The truth is their Scottish manifesto is simply an admittance that for
this Westminster election Scottish Labour have nothing to offer.

“Across Scotland voters are looking to protect their services and elect
strong local champions who will protect their interests at Westminster
just as the SNP in government delivers for Scotland at Holyrood.”
