EURO POLL SHOWS SNP WINNING SCOTLAND’S TRUST.

EURO POLL SHOWS SNP WINNING SCOTLAND’S TRUST.

PUBLIC BACK SNP OVER DISCREDITED LONDON PARTIES

An opinion poll published in the Sun today (Friday) gives the SNP a 19
point lead over Labour for the European elections.

The poll is the second in a week to show voters leaving the Labour and
Tory parties as they see only the SNP is focussed on protecting Scotland’s
jobs and working for economic recovery.

The UK wide Yougov poll over 13/14 May questioned 174 people in Scotland
with the results as follows

SNP - 40%
Lab - 21%
LD - 14%
Con - 13%
Oth - 12%

SNP MSP and European Campaign Convener Joe FitzPatrick said;

“The SNP is the only party offering a strong voice for Scotland in Europe
and a real focus on protecting Scotland’s jobs and working for economic
recovery.

"While the sample size is small the result is significant. The early
indications are that our positive message on protecting and creating jobs
can earn the trust of the people of Scotland in next month’s Euro
elections.

“As voters leave the discredited Labour and Tory parties it is the
Scottish Parliament and the SNP Government that are in touch with the
concerns of Scots across the country and who are working hard for
recovery.

“We will be working hard over the next three weeks to win the trust of the
Scottish people to ensure Scotland has a strong voice in Europe.

“Only an SNP voice in Europe will put Scotland’s economy and Scotland’s
industries at the forefront of European debate and see Scottish issues
represented in Europe."
