FIRST MINISTER ALEX SALMOND'S STATEMENT TO THE SCOTTISH ELECTORATE.

FIRST MINISTER ALEX SALMOND'S STATEMENT TO THE SCOTTISH ELECTORATE.

All across Scotland families feel the impact of the recession. We face tough times and big challenges.
I have no doubt Scotland's got what it takes to weather the storm and come out of this situation strong.
Our recovery plan is already helping households and businesses through the downturn. It means extra investment this year in new schools.
Business rates abolished for small firms plus a new fund for town centre regeneration. And thousands more training places, including apprenticeships in key industries. It will put Scotland on course to lead in the big industries of tomorrow, like clean green renewable energy.
This year our capital investment will protect 50,000 jobs and our Recovery Plan creates 20,000 more.
Jobs, skills and investment - the plan is in place to recover, grow and prosper once more.
With your support on June 4th, we can make sure Scotland's voice is heard in Europe.
Vote SNP.
