LABOUR/LIBDEM BLUNDER BIG ON BONUSES
LABOUR/LIBDEM BLUNDER BIG ON BONUSES
COSTS £130 MILLION SOUTH OF THE BORDER
A call by Labour’s David Whitton and the LibDem’s Jeremy Purvis for Senior Civil Service (SCS) bonuses, to be scrapped by the Scottish Government has rebounded on them when it was pointed out by SNP MSP Joe FitzPatrick – a member of the Scottish Parliament’s Finance Committee – that the power to do was reserved to the Labour government at Westminster.
Commenting Mr FitzPatrick said:
“Both David Whitton and Jeremy Purvis have shot themselves in the foot with their silly comments.
“If David Whitton wants these bonuses scrapped why has he not called on the Labour government in London to do so? That he hasn’t just exposes how he has no intention of addressing this issue seriously.
“And Jeremy Purvis only makes the LibDems look even more like a branch office of the Labour party with his hasty attack on the SNP instead of the Labour government in London. No wonder more and more people see a LibDem vote as a Labour vote.”
