BY-ELECTION CANDIDATE CALLS ON DELEGATES TO FIGHT FOR GNE

BY-ELECTION CANDIDATE CALLS ON DELEGATES TO FIGHT FOR GNE

'ONLY THE SNP CAN RESTORE SPARK OF HOPE'

By-election candidate, David Kerr, has called on delegates at the SNP's
75th annual conference to come to Glasgow North East and help secure
another historic win for the party - and a better future for local people.

Mr Kerr spoke to a motion condemning the Labour party for leaving the
constituency without representation for over six months.

Addressing conference, Mr Kerr said:

"I believe that the problems of this area are far outweighed by its
potential.

"Labour have controlled Glasgow North East for 74 years - and they have
failed.

"That’s why it’s time for a fresh start. That’s why it’s time for hope.
That's why it's time for the SNP."

Campaign co-ordinator, Stewart Hosie MP added:

"This is going to be a brammer of a by-election.

"The people of Glasgow North East and the SNP have what it takes to shake
the Labour establishment - in London and City Chambers - to its core."
