LABOUR CANDIDATE ALREADY TAKING GLASGOW NORTH EAST FOR GRANTED

LABOUR CANDIDATE ALREADY TAKING GLASGOW NORTH EAST FOR GRANTED

ONLY SNP WILL GIVE GLASGOW NORTH EAST A VOICE

BAIN PROVES HE HAS NOTHING TO OFFER LOCAL PEOPLE

Commenting on Willie Bain's woeful performance on The Politics Show today
(Sunday), which made it clear that the SNP are the only party with
positive ideas to offer voters in the constituency, SNP MP for the
neighbouring constituency of Glasgow East, John Mason said:

"While the SNP are working hard for every vote Labour are already taking
the constituency for granted.

"Labour have taken Glasgow for granted for 74 years - Willie Bain has
already proven that he would be no different.

"He described Glasgow North East as 'my constituency'. The poll date
hasn't even been set!

"And he refused to take responsibility for Labour's legacy of neglect.

"In contrast the SNP's David Kerr was clear that we must invest in
education and in jobs to ensure Glasgow North East fulfils its enormous
potential.

"The only positive for Mr Bain is he agrees with the SNP that we need
fiscal stimulus to recover from recession - unfortunately his party is
already cutting Scotland's budget and risking jobs.

"David Kerr's priorities are the priorities of local people. The SNP is
the only party with a positive vision for Glasgow North East."
