YSI LAUNCH NEW ONLINE TV CHANNEL

YSI LAUNCH NEW ONLINE TV CHANNEL

The convener of the Young Scots for Independence, Cllr David Mcdonald,
will today launch the organisations interactive new TV Channel, YSI tv.

The YSI launched the channel with a broadcast at SNP Conference in Inverness.

YSI tv follows the historic success of SNP tv which ran during the 2007
Scottish Election Campaign, and was the first party political news
programme of its kind.

YSI tv will follow that success by previewing the work and influence of
the YSI, FSN (Federation of Student Nationalists), and SNP elected members
on politics in Scotland.

YSI tv will provide the opportunity and platform for the SNP to preview
online interviews and footage of the work the party do. The first
broadcast will show interviews with former convener of the YSI and
youngest Scots MSP, Aileen Campbell, as well an exclusive interview with
the SNP’s candidate for the Glasgow North East by-election, David Kerr.

The broadcast has been filmed and produced by former SNP tv presenter
Hannah Bardell, and YSI campaigns manager Alex MacLeod and will be
available on the YSI youtube channel www.youtube.com/snpyouth

Commenting on the launch Convener of the YSI David McDonald said;

“This is another example of how the SNP and the YSI are leading the field
on modern technology and innovation.

“We believe that to get as many young people involved in the party we must
utilise new online technologies and inspire young people in Scotland to
take part in the campaign for independence.

“The YSI have got what it takes to involve and engage Scotland’s young
people.”
