LATEST LABOUR APPOINTMENTS SHOW DEPTHS OF PANIC

LATEST LABOUR APPOINTMENTS SHOW DEPTHS OF PANIC

Commenting on the latest round of the Labour reshuffle which saw them finally fill the position of transport spokesman 24 hours after the first reshuffle by bringing back Charlie Gordon, who resigned in disgrace as part of the Wendy Alexander donation's affair and appoint James Kelly as deputy Justice spokesman SNP MSP Jamie Hepburn said:

"It seems it now takes 28 Labour MSPs to shadow the SNP's team of 16.

"The only way Iain Gray can keep his party loyal is to give them a job - even those like Charlie Gordon who previously resigned in disgrace.

"Labour's reshuffle has really hit the bottom of the barrel with the return of team Wendy.

"You have to wonder how many people said no to Iain Gray before he had to ask Charlie Gordon.

“The real problem with Labour’s Holyrood Group is the man supposedly in charge, and the whispering campaign against Iain Gray’s leadership within the Labour Party is getting louder by the day. These are desperate measures by a desperate leader – all he has done is rearrange the deckchairs on a rapidly sinking ship.

“For Iain Gray, it truly is the case that his political opponents sit on the benches opposite – and his political enemies still sit behind him."
