SNP COMMENT ON JOB CUTS IN BBC SCOTLAND.

SNP COMMENT ON JOB CUTS IN BBC SCOTLAND.

SNP COMMENT ON BBC SCOTLAND JOB CUTS .
Commenting on the news that twenty jobs are to be axed in the news and current affairs department at BBC Scotland SNP MSP Aileen Campbell – a member of the Scottish Parliament's Education & Culture Committee – said:
"It is sadly ironic that when there are calls for broadcasting responsibilities to be devolved to Scotland we are met with this news from the BBC.
"My main concern in response to this announcement is what this would mean for Scottish news and current affairs output. I will be seeking assurances from BBC Scotland that output within Scotland and coverage of Scottish news across the UK network will not be further reduced by these cuts.
