LABOUR POWER GRAB “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO THE MAJORITY OF SCOTS”.

LABOUR POWER GRAB “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE TO THE MAJORITY OF SCOTS”.

SNP MSP for Glasgow, Bill Kidd, has commented on reports that Scottish Labour are at war over their submission to the Calman Commission, with MPs attempting to wrestle control of energy and security issues from their MSP colleagues.

Mr Kidd said:

“The turf war between Jim Murphy and Iain Gray is clearly escalating rapidly, with both putting their own interests ahead of those of the people of Scotland.

“Last Wednesday, the Speaker of the House of Commons admonished the Labour group for their unending criticism of the Scottish Parliament. This, combined with reports of civil war between Holyrood and Westminster, is very telling of London Labour’s attitude towards Edinburgh.

“A power grab by Westminster would be totally unacceptable to the overwhelming majority of Scots and will be wholly opposed by the both SNP MPs and MSPs.”
