SNP LEADING ACROSS ALL GENDER AND SOCIAL GROUPS.

The Scottish National Party has welcomed details of the YouGov poll in the Sunday Times, which show the SNP is leading across all gender and social groups for elections to the Scottish Parliament.

Commenting on the figures SNP Business Convener and Westminster group leader Angus Robertson MP said:

"These figures are even more good news from what was an excellent poll for the SNP – a poll which also fully vindicated the Scottish Government's handling of the Budget process.

"The SNP's budget is delivering real opportunity for Scotland in these tough times and these poll figures show that support for the SNP is solid across a wide range of social groups.

"Obviously they agree with the SNP's responsible approach to supporting Scotland's economy which is why the budget has received overwhelming support from the public.

"With increased investment to support 5000 jobs, abolition of business rates, a town centre fund, increased home insulation, support for apprentices and a freeze on the council tax I am sure the SNP's responsible actions will meet with even more approval from these groups

"The decision of Labour and the Lib Dems to accept a deal this week that could have been on offer last week offers a valuable lesson for those who played politics with people's jobs."
